Zahir and Priya’s love for Chonak is unparalleled and they believe that a fish thali would be incomplete without everybody’s favourite Chonak. Our Process

The science of Chonak farming

At Zash Farms, we have created a state of the art facility utilizing all the knowledge accumulated over the years from continuous research and development.
Zash Farm houses a Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) purely for Sea Bass farming integrated with a zero waste discharge cycle that functions smoothly all year round.
Bio-Filtration tanks that filter and clean up to 1,00,000 liters per hour to ensure tanks are clean and the Chonak is in a healthy environment.

Specially cultured fingerlings are sourced to the farm where the whole growth process is monitored.
The Sea Bass is stored in large FRP (fibre reinforced plastic) tanks with 30,000-1lkh litre capacity.
Constant care ensures healthy and stable growth of all fish.
The quality checks that occur every 3 hours help to maintain a stable environment while monitoring the pH levels, oxygen levels and all other factors that guarantee a healthy Zash Chonak.
